GENERAL INFORMATION

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-out is by 11:00 AM. Check-in is available from 2:00 PM. If you arrive earlier, no problem: if your room is ready, we’ll be happy to welcome you immediately. Otherwise, you can start enjoying all the spaces and services of the Locanda from your arrival.  

What are the reception hours?

The reception is open from morning until evening. For any emergencies, you can contact us at any time at 090 9843958, 334 5920009, or 335 6779733.  

Which languages are spoken at the reception?

Our staff speaks Italian, English, and Spanish… and we are always learning new ones!  

Where is the property located and how can it be reached?

The Locanda is located in the small village of Pollara, about 15 km from the main ports of the island. The best way to explore Salina is to rent a car or scooter upon arrival: we will be happy to put you in touch with rental services that can deliver the vehicle directly at the port. Even if you choose a scooter, you don’t need to worry about your luggage: it will be delivered directly to the hotel. Alternatively, we can arrange a taxi transfer, or you can use the public CITIS bus service.  

Is there parking available on the property?

Yes, parking is available on-site.  

Does the property have Wi-Fi?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available both in common areas and in the rooms.  

Are pets allowed?

Yes, we love animals and welcome small pets with prior notice. Our dog Sara and cat Dora already live at the Locanda.  

Is there a luggage storage service?

Certainly. The reception will be happy to store your luggage both on arrival and departure.  

What amenities are offered in the rooms?

All rooms have air conditioning, a safe, shower, hairdryer, courtesy kit, towels, TV, minibar, and a private furnished terrace with hammock, sunbeds, table, and chairs.

Suites also feature a small private pool.  

Is there a tourist tax?

No, there is no tourist tax on the island of Salina.  

Which credit cards are accepted?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT

How does check-in work at the property?

Upon arrival, the reception will welcome you, introduce you to the property, provide all the useful information for your stay, and personally escort you to your room.  

Is early check-in possible?

If the room is ready before 2:00 PM, we’ll be happy to allow early check-in. Otherwise, you can already enjoy all the services and common areas of the Locanda.  

Is late check-out possible?

If the room is not booked for the same day, we may offer a late check-out. Alternatively, you can continue to enjoy the property and services after leaving the room.

PROPERTY & SERVICES

Is there a shuttle service to/from the property?

We don’t have a direct shuttle service, but we can help organize a transfer, contact a rental service, or provide the public transport schedules.  

Is there a charging service for electric vehicles?

Yes, charging for electric cars and scooters is available. We recommend notifying us in advance to ensure availability. The service is paid.  

Are children allowed to stay at the property?

Yes, children are welcome.  

Do you provide beach towels?

Yes, just request them at the reception.

ROOMS

Are cribs and cots available for children?

Yes, please let us know at the time of booking so we can have them ready in the room upon your arrival. 

Are accessible rooms available?

Yes, the property has rooms for guests with disabilities.

BREAKFAST

Is breakfast included?

Yes, breakfast is always included in our rates.  

What time and where is breakfast served?

Breakfast is served every morning under the Pinnata from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM.  

What type of breakfast is served?

You will enjoy a rich breakfast with homemade cakes, cookies, and jams, as well as eggs, cheese, cold cuts, and many other specialties.  

Are there options for celiacs, vegetarians, and vegans?

Yes, our team will be happy to provide options for every dietary need. Please kindly inform us before your arrival.

RESTAURANTS & BARS

Is there a restaurant on the property?

Yes, the Locanda has a panoramic terrace with sunset views that hosts the restaurant.  

Are there options for celiacs, vegetarians, and vegans?

Certainly, the kitchen team is always ready to meet any dietary needs.  

Is there a bar on the property?

Yes, we have a panoramic garden with sunset views, perfect for aperitifs and moments of relaxation.

ACTIVITIES, EXPERIENCES & EVENTS

Does the property offer a concierge service?

Yes, the reception is always available to help organize your stay.  

Do you organize tours and excursions in the area?

Yes, we organize boat trips, excursions, diving, yoga, and much more. Please contact the reception for all information.  

Is it possible to organize weddings or private events?

Of course! We organize weddings, birthdays, and private events. Send us an email with the details of your idea to receive more information.

PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS

What are the cancellation terms?

Cancellation terms vary depending on the rate selected. The non-refundable rate requires full payment at the time of booking and does not allow cancellation or refund. The flexible rate requires a credit card as a guarantee, with no advance charges.

Free cancellation is possible up to fifteen days before the arrival date.

Cancellations made from the fourteenth to the seventh day before arrival will incur a 50% penalty of the total stay. Cancellations made within seven days of arrival, as well as no-shows, will incur a 100% penalty of the total stay
