In the heart of Pollara, on the island of Salina, Locanda del Postino welcomes its guests in a beautifully restored traditional Aeolian house. A family-run boutique retreat where history, landscape and authentic hospitality blend in perfect harmony.
At the heart of the Locanda lies the ancient Palmento, once used for wine production and now transformed into an intimate indoor lounge, preserving the island’s agricultural heritage. The twelve sea-view rooms offer unforgettable sunsets over Alicudi and Filicudi, which we love to share every evening in our panoramic garden during aperitivo.
Surrounded by Mediterranean gardens with native plants, citrus trees and aromatic herbs, the Locanda brings nature to the table: our panoramic restaurant offers seasonal cuisine made with local ingredients, sourced from our garden or from small island producers and fishermen.
At Locanda del Postino, hospitality is an experience of care, simplicity and elegance, deeply connected to the soul of Salina.
Locanda del Postino was born from the Leva family’s love for the village of Pollara and from the desire to create a peaceful retreat immersed in the beauty of Salina.
Founded in 1994 by Mauro and Amelia, who carefully restored an ancient Aeolian farmhouse, it is now a family-run property also managed by their children, Francesco and Mariachiara, offering a warm and genuine welcome. Deeply connected to local history and traditions, the Locanda values authentic ingredients, works closely with the island’s farmers and fishermen, and shares with its guests the stories and flavors of Pollara, inviting them to experience the slow and harmonious rhythm of life in the village.
